Can You Wash a Nest Bedding Mattress Cover?

Derek Hales

Published

While you can clean small areas of the cover, you should never put it in a washing machine or dryer (for those with removable covers). The best way to clean the cover of a Nest Bedding mattress is to vacuum, spot treat, and odor treat your mattress once per year.

Step-by-step instructions by Nest Bedding

  • Strip off all bedding
  • Vacuum the entire surface with an upholstery attachment
  • Spot-treat visible stains with a mixture of hydrogen peroxide and a few drops of dish soap. After letting it sit for a few minutes, blot gently with a clean cloth
  • Sprinkle baking soda over the mattress surface while opening windows or otherwise increasing airflow to the mattress for 30 minutes to deodorize it
  • Vacuum up baking soda
  • Make sure everything is fully dry before putting the bedding back on
