What is the Lull Warranty?

Derek Hales

Published

As of March 2021, Lull mattresses come with a Limited Lifetime Warranty, which is an increase from its previous 10-year warranty.

For reference, 42% of all mattresses we’ve tested have a lifetime warranty, but there are some differences to consider in their terms and conditions.

Key points to consider about Lull’s warranty policy:

  • The warranty is non-prorated, which means you won’t be charged a percentage of the replacement cost based on the years since your purchase.
  • After 10 years, a $75 fee will be included for the shipping of a replacement mattress.
  • Lull’s remedy solely includes a repair or replacement of the original mattress with one of a comparable size or model. They will not offer a cash refund, for example.

What is covered?

Below is a list describing the main elements of what Lull’s warranty covers:

  • Visible Sagging: Any visible indentation or sag greater than 1.5 inches. This only applies if the mattress has been supported by a proper foundation or bed frame.
  • Manufacturing Flaws in the Cover: This includes the fabric tearing or stitching coming unraveled due to a physical flaw in construction.
  • Zipper Defects: Manufacturing flaws in the cover’s zipper (though not breakage caused by “improper or overuse”)

What is not covered?

Below are the common issues that Lull specifies are NOT covered:

  • Normal Softening: A slight increase in the softness of the foam over time is considered normal and is not a defect.
  • Comfort Preferences: Personal opinions on how firm or soft the mattress feels.
  • Physical Damage: Any stains, burns, tears, or discoloration caused by the owner (this is why using a waterproof protector is highly recommended—a single stain can void a warranty).
  • Improper Support: Damage caused by using an unstable or inappropriate bed frame.
  • Commercial Use: If the mattress is used in a hotel, dormitory, or rental property, the warranty is void.

Lull requires the mattress to be placed on a firm, level surface with center support (for Queen sizes and larger) and slats spaced no more than 3 inches apart.
