Is The Tempurpedic Mattress Toxic?

No, Tempurpedic mattresses are not toxic. The company only uses CertiPUR-US-certified foams, which contain no harmful chemicals.

TEMPUR-Material and other foams in these mattresses are free of heavy metals, formaldehyde, phthalates, ozone depleters, and “Tris” flame retardants. Additionally, they’re low in VOCs (volatile organic compounds) and meet the highest safety standards.

Tempurpedic Cloud Breeze Back Sleeping

In our smell tests, the TEMPUR-Cloud Breeze had a moderate smell when it was delivered and the mattress took 3 days to fully off-gas. The average off-gassing period of over 200+ mattresses tested to date is 5.86 days.

Although this exact mattress version we tested has been discontinued, we can assume that based on this data, Tempurpedic mattresses off-gas slightly faster than average.
