According to Tempurpedic.com, Tempurpedic mattresses do not contain any fiberglass. This page on Tempurpedic’s website contains the following statement:
“We want to assure you that Tempur-Pedic mattresses do not contain fiberglass. Our mattresses are made with proprietary TEMPUR® material and are designed to meet all U.S. safety and durability standards without the use of fiberglass or other harmful chemicals.”
NapLab first became aware of this page in 2026.
When we engaged with the Tempurpedic on-site chat in 2026, their live chat confirmed that the current Tempurpedic mattresses do not contain fiberglass.
When we asked the chat whether the brand has ever produced mattresses with fiberglass, it echoed the first answer, reiterating that all Tempurpedic mattresses are fiberglass-free.
That being said, in 2023, when we asked the Tempurpedic live chat the same question, the answer was slightly different, stating that Tempurpedic has never used fiberglass in any foams or covers. It went on to describe its “core-spun glass fiber technology” and safety standards. See below:
From this statement, we would guess that Tempurpedic did contain some type of fiberglass at some point (at least in 2023 and likely in the years before and possibly after, leading up to 2026), but not in any foams or covers.
This assumption is further supported by a law tag from an older-model Tempurpedic that states the mattress contains 37% glass fiber in the mattress’s netting. It is our understanding that “glass fiber” and “fiberglass” are functionally the same thing.
With all that being said, these are assumptions and we are not 100% certain that Tempurpedic mattresses contained fiberglass previously. For this reason, our list of mattresses that contain fiberglass is marked as “Unclear” for Tempurpedic models in years 2025 and earlier.
Based on Tempurpedic’s web page here, we believe that current Tempurpedic models do not contain fiberglass.
