Do Helix Mattresses Contain Fiberglass?

Derek Hales

Published

No. Helix mattresses do not contain fiberglass. Fiberglass is a material sometimes found in the fire barrier. Although effective at preventing fire spread, the long-term health risks of fiberglass exposure has led many companies to skip the substance in mattress construction.

Instead of fiberglass, Helix mattresses use a fire-retardant textile that contains silica, a derivative of bamboo fiber.
