Derek Hales

Updated

No, Helix mattresses are non-toxic. Helix mattresses meet a number of certifications to generally be considered non-toxic.

Helix mattresses are GREENGUARD Gold certified as well as using CertiPUR-US certified foams.

Mattresses that meet these certification criteria are made without:

  • Ozone depleters
  • PBDE flame retardants
  • Mercury
  • Lead
  • Heavy metals
  • Formaldehyde

For an even more natural mattress, check out Helix’s sister brand, Birch Living. This includes the Birch Hybrid, Birch Luxe Hybrid, and Birch Elite Hybrid, of which we’ve all reviewed personally.

These mattresses include organic cotton, organic latex, natural wool, and durable steel.
