Most Helix mattresses are not organic, but there is a collection of exceptions under the sub-brand of Birch. Birch mattresses are owned by Helix and operate as the company’s organic lineup of mattresses.

Birch mattresses are made of organic latex, natural wool, pocketed coils, and organic cotton. They currently offer three different mattress styles—the Birch original, the Birch Luxe, and the Kids Birch mattress.

Birch mattresses are Greenguard Gold certified as well as GOTS certified.

Although other Helix mattresses are not organic, they do go through a series of testing which holds the mattress to a higher material quality standard than many other mattress brands.

All Helix mattresses are Greenguard Gold certified as well as only using foam that is CertiPUR-US certified. While these safely certifications do not make a mattress organic, it does help to create a more transparent product with clear moves towards fabricating a non-toxic and safer mattress.
