For general maintenance, vacuum the mattress with a handheld vacuum.

For spills and light accidents, Nectar recommends spot-cleaning the cover as soon as the spill or stain occurs with a damp cloth and mild detergent or hand soap taking care not to let liquid reach the underlying foam layers.

For bigger or deeper set stains, an upholstery or spot cleaner or cleaning device would work well.

One word of caution, Nectar does not recommend removing the mattress cover. This is especially interesting considering the Nectar foam mattresses have a zippered cover.

According to Nectar’s customer support, removing the cover can be potentially hazardous and voids all warranties. Also, the covers are not machine washable.

Given these facts, we would strongly recommend never removing the Nectar cover.
