Tempurpedic manufactures all foam mattresses as well as hybrid mattresses. An all-foam Tempurpedic mattress does not have any coils. Tempurpedic hybrids will have a coil-based support system below a foam comfort layer.

All five current Tempurpedic collections are available in as an all-foam mattress or a hybrid. This provides a total of 10 different configuration options.
Collection | All-Foam | Hybrid |
---|---|---|
TEMPUR-Cloud | No Coils | 1,000 Coils |
TEMPUR-Adapt | No Coils | 1,000 Coils |
TEMPUR-ProAdapt | No Coils | 1,000 Coils |
TEMPUR-ProBreeze | No Coils | 1,000 Coils |
TEMPUR-LuxeBreeze | No Coils | 1,300 Coils |
The LuxeBreeze Medium Hybrid offers the highest coil count among all current Tempurpedic collections, featuring 1,300 coils. Generally speaking, more coils also allow for better support and improved pressure relief.
Among all mattresses we’ve tested, hybrids generally have a longer lifespan as well as better performance (assuming all other factors are equal).
The average hybrid mattress score is 8.66 whereas the average memory foam mattress score is only 8.20.
