Unboxing Brooklyn Bedding mattresses is incredibly simple. All Brooklyn Bedding mattresses are shipped in a box—simply take it out of the box, position the roll on the bed, cut the plastic wrap, and let it expand.
Step 1: Take the mattress out of the box and place the roll on your bed frame.
Step 2: Trim the plastic wrap holding the mattress together in a roll. This will allow the mattress to unroll.
Step 3: Once unrolled, trim more of the plastic wrap to allow the mattress to expand. This process should only take a couple of minutes.
Once fully expanded, your mattress should look like a standard mattress. Remove the plastic wrap and dispose of or recycle all packing materials.
Within a couple of minutes, the mattress should be fully inflated and you are free to use it.
If you are sensitive to strong odors, you may want to give the mattress a day or so to fully off-gas. While these smells aren’t particularly harmful, they can be irritating to sensitive sleepers.
Step 4: Once expanded, you can add sheets or bedding as usual and you’re ready to get to bed.
