Does The Tempurpedic Mattress Require A Break-In Period?

Derek Hales

Updated

Unlike many mattress companies, the Tempurpedic mattress does not strictly require a break-in period before you can initiate a return. It is still a good idea to try it for at least 30 nights, so your body can adapt to it.

All mattresses include a 90-night trial when purchased from Tempurpedic directly. 90 nights is notably shorter than the 165-night average trial period length.

If you’ve purchased a Tempurpedic mattress from a third-party seller, you will be subject to their trial period, not Tempurpedic’s 90-night period.

Tempur side contour singage - body weight

Tempurpedic uses a special material (TEMPUR) that consists of small cells. These cells require several weeks to soften up and adjust to your body’s shape. Therefore, your new mattress may become more comfortable over time.
