The average score of all mattresses tested (151 models, to be more precise) to date is 8.63. The Allswell mattress performs slightly below average, but it still offers great value for the money.

To generate these scores, we assess each mattress across the board by looking at 8 different performance factors (as well as subjective factors like sinkage and bounce).

NapLab performance categories include:

  1. Cooling
  2. Motion Transfer
  3. Response
  4. Edge Support
  5. Sex
  6. Pressure Relief
  7. Off-Gassing
  8. Company

6.8 Motion Transfer
8.4 Response Time
8.9 Edge Support
9.2 Sex
9.0 Pressure Relief
8.3 Off-Gassing
8.5 Company

As shown above, Allswell got green scores across the board, except for motion transfer.

This hybrid mattress has a high level of motion transfer, meaning it’s not ideal for people who sleep with a partner. The movement on one side of the bed can be felt on the other side, which may cause discomfort.

So, if one partner gets in and out of bed at night, the other person may be disturbed by the motion. This aspect is especially problematic for light sleepers, but not so much for heavy sleepers.

Apart from that, the Allswell Cool mattress offers excellent value for the money. Not only does it cost more than 50% less than the average hybrid mattress ($1,383), but it also has an extremely fast response time and a high bounce.
