Best For
- Low price, under $400 for queen mattress
- Great edge support when sitting or lying near the edge of the mattress
- Faster material responsiveness and moderate sinkage so you won’t feel stuck in the mattress
Considerations
- Low bounce is not ideal for sex performance
- Cooling performance is good, but not amazing
- Slightly more motion transfer than average
Our Verdict
The Siena Signature is a memory foam mattress made of memory foam and a support foam base. It has a simple design, in an effort to reach a lower target price, aimed at budget sleepers.
The Siena Signature 10″ is available in a single firmness level — medium-firm. This firmness is generally suitable for a wide range of sleepers, but given its thinner profile, heavier sleepers may not fare as well as lighter sleepers.
This mattress has moderate sinkage and very low levels of bounce. If you want the feel of memory foam without feeling overly enveloped, this could be the right option for you.
In our performance tests, this mattress earned an overall score of 8.39, ranking the mattress in the bottom 30% of all mattresses tested to date. But if we exclusively look at memory foam mattresses, the rank rises to the top 47%.
Despite its performance disadvantages, where the Siena Signature 10″ really shines is price—$359 for a queen-sized mattress. This is 66% less than the average memory foam mattress, a savings of over $700 for a queen-sized mattress.
Siena is far from perfect and yet, at $359 for a Queen it is an extraordinarily good value mattress.

How is Siena Signature 10″ Different?
The Siena Signature 10″ is a 10″ memory foam mattress with an overall performance level that is slightly below the average, but also a price tag that offers considerable savings—over $700 less expensive than the average memory foam mattress.
Advantages
Beyond the obvious price advantage, the Siena also has faster material responsiveness than average, better edge support than average, and faster off-gassing.
The 180-night trial is also slightly longer than the average trial length of 171 nights.
Neutral Factors
The Siena Signature 10″ has moderate sinkage and very low bounce. This is a pretty typical memory foam feel and would be a good option for sleepers who like a more pronounced bjody contour.

Disadvantages
With the lower price comes a variety of disadvantages, including worse cooling, higher levels of motion transfer, and a disappointing sex score (largely due to lower bounce).
Pressure relief performed below average and the mattress only has 2.0″ of comfort material, compared to the average level of 4.3″.
If you’re a heavier sleeper or highly prioritize pressure relief, it’s unlikely that the Siena Signature 10″ will be the right choice for you.
Cooling Test
The Siena Signature 10″ has good cooling. During our tests, I did not feel a significant level of heat retention around my body.
Baseline Temp.
79.0° F
Max. Temp.
90.6° F
Ending Temp.
81.2° F
And yet, it’s clear that this cooling performance doesn’t rise to the excellent or outstanding level. The Siena is a simple design that’s all foam with a single 2.0” comfort layer that sits atop an 8.0” support foam layer.
The all-foam design limits breathability, which means that the mattress retains more heat. In addition, the mattress doesn’t have any notable cooling features with respect to design or materials.
Max. Temp.

Ending Temp.

- Baseline Temperature – the temperature of the mattress before anyone lies on it
- Maximum Temperature (0 minute) – the temperature of the mattress after lying on it for 15 minutes
- Ending Temperature (5 minute) – the temperature of the mattress after being lied upon and having no one on it for 5 minutes
All that said, given this price point, it’s really hard to complain too much. While the mattress lacks advanced cooling materials, it’s also incredibly budget-friendly at less than $400 for a Queen.
In our objective temperature tests, we measured a max surface level temperature of 90.6° F. This is 0.7° more than the average of 89.9° F, based on all of our tests to date.
After getting off the mattress, the temperature declined by 2.6 degrees from minutes 0 to 1, which is 2.2 degrees warmer than the average 0 to 1 minute decline of 4.8 degrees.
Heat Dissipation Over Time

When we consider the combination of objective data, my subjective experiences, and an analysis of the materials, I’m confident in my view that cooling is good.
Sinkage Test
The Siena Signature 10″ has moderate sinkage. During our tests, we measured a pressure point sinkage depth of 2.07″. This is 0.14″ less sinkage than the average sinkage depth of 2.21″, based on all of our tests to date.
Sinkage Depth
2.07″
Sinkage Feel
Moderate
The level of sinkage is documented in the image below.

The mattress creates a dramatic body contouring hug. I was quite surprised at just how much hug the Siena was able to create. The 2.0” memory foam comfort layer allows the body to sink in, creating a more exacting and precise hug around the body.
This isn’t good or bad, but it is a more specific feel. You’ll really need to prefer the feel of contouring hug from memory foam to enjoy the feel of the Siena.
Motion Transfer Test
The Siena Signature 10″ has a low level of motion transfer. During our tests, we measured a total acceleration range of 9.35 m/s². This is 8% more motion transfer than the average of 8.69 m/s². I was a bit surprised to see motion higher than average.
Accel. Range
9.35 m/s²
Motion Duration
0.74 seconds
When we consider the materials and design, I expect to see low motion. This is an all-foam design, uses memory foam on top, and has a bounce level that is considerably lower than average.
Those attributes allow for lower motion spikes and better energy dissipation. Even so, we measured higher than average motion transfer. In my view, the taut cover is responsible for the increase in motion.
The level of motion transfer is also documented in the video below.
When sleepers move around, get in bed, or change positions that taut cover is going to tug from side to side and sleepers will experience that cover movement as motion transfer.
In our motion transfer chart, which visualizes our accelerometer data, we can see the highest motion peaks from 0 to 0.2 seconds.
Motion drops considerably immediately thereafter and by 0.74 seconds we’ve returned to near-zero levels of energy, which is 0.13 seconds shorter than the average motion duration of 0.87 seconds.
Motion Transfer Over Time

While the motion intensity is slightly more than average, the motion duration is less than average, so there’s a bit of a silver lining for the total motion transfer experience.
All things considered, motion is still good, but it’s also fair to say it could have been better.
Response Test
The Siena Signature 10″ has a very fast material response. In our mostly recovered test, we measured a recovery speed of 0.3 seconds, which is 0.10 seconds faster than the average of 0.40 seconds, based on all of our tests to date.
Mostly Recovered
0.3 sec.
Fully Recovered
0.6 sec.
In our fully recovered responsiveness test, we measured a recovery speed of 0.6 seconds, which is 0.39 seconds faster than the average of 0.99 seconds. While these recovery speeds aren’t quite instant, they are very close.
The limited comfort layer at only 2.0” thick, thin cover, and moderate sinkage depth are all helping to create faster material responsiveness.
The level of responsiveness is documented in the video below.
The faster response improves ease of movement and prevents any type of a “stuck” feeling. Overall, the response is excellent and I expect it will be a non-issue for most sleepers.
Bounce Test
The Siena Signature 10″ has a very low level of bounce. During our tests, we measured a total bounce height of 5.10″. This is 3.80″ less bounce than the average of 8.90″, based on all of our tests to date.
Max. Depth
4.30″
Max. Rebound
0.80″
Total Bounce
5.10″
The combination of an all foam design with a 2.0” layer of memory foam on top of the mattress is dramatically reducing bounce.
Max. Sinkage Depth

Max. Bounce Height

The level of bounce is also documented in the video below.
The lower bounce is a major reason that motion transfer is lower, but it also means that sex performance is worse. So there are pros and cons to consider here.
Edge Support Test
The Siena Signature 10″ has excellent sitting edge support and excellent lying edge support.
Max. Sinkage
3.50″
Lying Support
Excellent
In our sitting edge support test, we measured a sitting sinkage compression of 3.50″. This is 0.46″ less sitting sinkage than the average of 3.96″, based on all of our tests to date.
The level of edge support while seated is documented in the images below.
Sitting, 140 lbs.

Sitting, 200 lbs.

While lying directly on the edge of the mattress, I felt that the support was excellent in all sleeping positions. This mattress uses a simple design of 2.0” of memory foam on top of an 8.0” support foam. That said, sometimes simple is better.
The level of edge support while lying is documented in the images below.
Lying on Edge, 140 lbs.

Lying on Edge, 200 lbs.

The thinner than average comfort layer, thin cover, and moderate sinkage depth create good support in general and we see that supportive feel extending all the way to the edge of the mattress.
Notably, the mattress does not use any type of reinforced edge support foam. Even so, it doesn’t really need it. The Siena Signature created excellent edge support for both sitting and lying.
Sex Test
The Siena Signature 10″ has mediocre sex performance. The weak sex performance is primarily attributed to a single issue, low bounce. We measured bounce at just 5.10”.
This is considerably lower than average. Lower bounce means sex is more strenuous and more tiring.

Unfortunately, the all-foam design with memory foam on top just does the mattress no favors when it comes to amorous activities.
While bounce left much to be desired, other sex performance criteria were notably better. Noise is minimal and edge support is excellent, with just 3.0” of sitting edge sinkage.
Sex Factor | Factor Weight | Score | Rating |
---|---|---|---|
Bounce | 65% | 5.7 | Very Low |
Edge Support | 20% | 9.4 | Excellent |
Noise | 5% | 10 | Minimal |
Pressure Relief | 5% | 8.0 | Good |
Cooling | 5% | 8.0 | Good |
The more supportive edge extends the usable surface area for sleeping, sitting, and sex. Lastly, both pressure relief and cooling were good, even if they don’t rise to the excellent or outstanding level.
Pressure Relief Test
The Siena Signature 10″ has a good level of pressure relief. During our tests, I felt some minor pressure points, but for most part I found pressure relief to be good.
The mattress is equipped with 2.0″ of comfort material, which is 2.27″ less comfort material than the average comfort layer thickness of 4.27″, based on all of our tests to date.
Comfort Layer
2″
Support Layer
8″
The thinner comfort layer simply means the body comes more into contact with the support foam layer, which is quite firm and is responsible for the minor pressure points I experienced.
The more you weigh, the more you’ll sink through that 2.0” comfort layer and into the support layer.

In addition, side sleepers are also going to make more contact with the support foam due to the increased weight localized to one area along the side of the body. Moving on, the material quality on this mattress is fine, and yet, it’s far from great.
Even so, it feels hard to complain too much given the incredibly budget-friendly price point. In our pressure mapping tests, we measured a max PSI of 0.75. Ideally, I want to see a PSI of 1.0 or less and the Siena hit that mark.
Pressure Map – Side Sleepers

Pressure Relief (PSI) | Average | Maximum |
---|---|---|
Side Sleepers | 0.14 | 0.75 |
Pressure Map – Back Sleepers

Pressure Relief (PSI) | Average | Maximum |
---|---|---|
Back Sleepers | 0.07 | 0.50 |
Pressure Map – Stomach Sleepers

Pressure Relief (PSI) | Average | Maximum |
---|---|---|
Stomach Sleepers | 0.08 | 0.62 |
When I consider our objective pressure mapping tests, material thickness, material quality, and my subjective experience on the mattress, I’m confident most sleepers will find the pressure relief to be good.
Off-Gassing Test
The Siena Signature 10″ had a strong smell upon the initial unboxing. The mattress smelled for 1 day. This is 5.8 days shorter than the average smell duration of 6.8 days.

Company
Siena mattresses come with a 180-night trial period and a 10-year warranty. Shipping and returns are both free.

Warranty | 20% | 8.0 | 10 years |
Shipping | 10% | 10 | $0 |

Comparing 100+ brands tested to date, the average trial period is 171 nights, 9 nights less than Siena offers.

The Siena comes with a 10-year warranty, which is 4 years shorter than the average warranty length at 14 years. Additionally, 41% of all mattresses have a lifetime warranty.
How firm is Siena Signature 10″?
The Siena Signature 10” comes in a single firmness, 6 out of 10, which gives the mattress a medium-firm feel. This feel is generally suitable for a wide range of sleepers.

Support & Sleeping Positions
Support on the Siena Signature 10″ is good. During our tests, I felt well supported in all sleeping positions. The mattress is equipped with a 8.0″ support layer.
This is 0.11″ thicker than the average support layer thickness of 7.89″, based on all of our tests to date.

This mattress uses a simple, but proven design. The 2.0” memory foam layer on top provides comfort and pressure relief, while the 8.0” support foam supports the body and foundationally supports the mattress.
The Siena is available in a single firmness, medium-firm. The medium-firm feel is ideal for most body types and all sleeping positions.
Check out the table below to see the sleeper weights and sleeping positions that would be best suited for this mattress.
Sleeper Weight | Stomach Sleeper | Side Sleeper | Back Sleeper |
---|---|---|---|
Under 150 lbs. | Yes | Yes | Yes |
150-250 lbs. | Yes | Yes | Yes |
250-300 lbs. | Maybe | Maybe | Maybe |
Where I am most concerned for support is simply for heavier-weighted sleepers. There is simply only so much a 10” mattress with a 2” comfort layer can achieve in terms of support for heavier bodies.
If you are over 250 pounds I would recommend upgrading to the 12” Siena or considering a different mattress.
Heavier-weight bodies simply need more material to help fully support the body’s weight. Lastly, this mattress does not use any type of zoned support layers. Even so, it would be unexpected to see zonal support at this price point.
Based on all of my tests to date, an analysis of the materials, and my subjective experiences, I’m confident most sleepers will find support on the Siena Signature 10″ is good.
Design

The Cover
The Siena Signature 10″ has polyester-blended cover, enhanced with polyethylene. It is light gray with thin white stripes on the top and solid gray on the sides.

There is no fancy tufting along the top, cording at the edges, or handles on the sides either.
Presumably, these design choices are an effort to help keep costs down and gives the mattress a pretty basic look.
The Comfort Layer
The comfort layer is 2.0″ thick layer of memory foam. Again, we’re not seeing anything really special about this layer. Only having one layer of foam above the support layer means this single foam does the job of “comfort foam” as well as “transitional foam” as sleepers engage more deeply with the mattress.

The average comfort layer is 4.3″ thick, so this 2.0″ is far from what we want to see, but again, given the low price, I’m not too surprised by this.
The Support Layer
The support layer is 8″ thick and made of a single layer of support foam. This foam is firmer than the memory foam on top and is designed to provide deeper support

Product Evolution
The original Siena memory mattress launched in 2022, as a sister mattress from the parent brand, Nectar. This mattress was developed as an incredibly budget-friendly mattress.
In 2025, the Siena mattress was updated and re-released in two available thicknesses—a 10″ version as well as a 12″ version. We did a complete retest of the 10″ Siena mattress and here is how they compared.
Here’s a comparison of the 2022-2024 version compared to the 2025 version.
Siena 10″ – 2022-2024 Version

Siena 10″ – 2025 Version

Check the table below for a side-by-side comparison of the two versions.
Specs | 2022 Version | 2025 Version |
---|---|---|
Overall Score | 8.62 | 8.39 |
Thickness | 10″ | 10″ |
Firmness | Medium-Firm (6) | Medium-Firm (6) |
Cover | Thin Cover | Thin Cover |
Comfort Layer | 2.5″ Memory Foam 2.5″ Poly Foam (Transitional) | 2.0″ Memory Foam |
Support Layer | 5.0″ Support Foam | 8.0″ Support Foam |
Compared to the 2022-2024 version, the 2025 version of this mattress has a slightly lower score. In my view, losing the transitional poly foam is the most critical change that took place to change the overall performance score.
When we look at each scoring category, the 2025 version has faster material responsiveness, better edge support, and faster off-gassing.
But it also has higher levels of motion transfer and worse pressure relief, compared to the 2022-2024 version. So there are certainly pros and cons to the change.
