Does The Casper Mattress Need A Box Spring?

Derek Hales

Updated

No, Casper mattresses don’t require a box spring, but you may use one.

The brand offers hybrid and foam mattresses with multiple layers. Therefore, they are supportive enough to eliminate the need for a box spring. Any type of support system that provides minimal to no flex will do.

This includes most platform, slat, and box spring foundations. For slat foundations, check to make sure the slats are no more than 3-4″ apart.

Another option is to use a bunkie board with your bed frame. This piece of wood or metal will add stability to the mattresses, increasing your comfort level.
