What is the Bear Mattress Weight Limit?

Derek Hales

Published

The Bear mattress has no listed weight limit. However, as a general rule, we would recommend no more than 300 pounds per side on most Bear models, with up to 400 pounds per side on the Bear Elite model.

We have tested both the Bear Star Hybrid and Bear Elite Hybrid and found both mattresses to be suitable for a wide range of sleeper weights.

That being said, heavier sleepers should use caution, especially on mattresses with thinner profiles (ex: the 10″ Bear Pro or Bear Original).

Notice in the images below how the contour of the mattress changes when you apply more weight to the mattress.

Too much weight on any given mattress can result in poor support, painful pressure points, and overall restless sleep.

In some cases, exceeding a mattress’s listed weight limit can also void the warranty. If you’re concerned about this issue, be sure to check with the manufacturer on any fine print regarding the issue.
