The Original Bear mattress is 10″ thick and Bear Hybrids range from 10-14″ thick. The Kids mattress is only 8.5″ thick.

In general, a thicker mattress means better pressure relief. In our performance tests, we saw good pressure relief scores of 9.0 for both the Bear Elite Hybrid as well as the Bear Star Hybrid.
