The Birch mattress setup is extremely simple. As with most boxed mattresses, it ships directly to your door for free. Once it arrives, you simply unbox it and bring it into your room of choice. Next is the fun part.
Step 1: Place the vacuum-rolled mattress onto the bed frame.
Step 2: Carefully cut away some of the packaging so that the mattress can unroll onto the bed frame. Adjust alignment as needed.
Step 3: Trim extra packaging to allow the mattress to fully inflate.
Step 4: If you have the Birch Luxe, I recommend giving it some time to off-gas as this mattress in particular took 10 days to fully off-gas during our Birch Luxe performance tests. The original Birch had a minimal smell immediately after unboxing.
