Published

No, Allswell mattresses are not toxic. The brand uses CertiPUR-US certified foams, which contain none of the following:

  • Ozone depleters
  • Heavy metals
  • Volatile organic compounds (VOCs)
  • “Tris” flame retardants
  • Phthalates
  • Formaldehyde
Allswell Cool before cooling test

The Allswell Cool is not marketed as an organic mattress, but it’s safer and more eco-friendly than many other mattresses out there.

Additionally, the mattress did quite well in our off-gassing test. Although it had a strong smell after unboxing, the odor dissipated within six days.
