Layla Sleep has been in business since 2016.
The company was founded by Akrum Sheikh, an entrepreneur who grew up in the “furniture world.” He started out as a salesman and later launched his own business.
Today, Layla offers hundreds of products, from flippable mattresses and bed frames to weighted blankets. The brand is headquartered in New Haven, Connecticut, and operates several factories across the U.S.
Layla is still independently owned, as opposed to many of the bed-in-the-box brands being bought and integrated into a larger mattress family, such as 3Z or Resident Home.
