Does the Layla Mattress Need A Box Spring?

Derek Hales

Published

No, Layla mattresses don’t require a box spring, but you may use one. What matters most is to place the mattress on a sturdy surface.

This includes most platform, slat, and box spring foundations. For slat foundations, check to make sure the slats are no more than 3-4″ apart.

According to the company’s website, using a foundation manufactured by other brands may void the warranty.

However, this is unlikely to happen if you opt for a supportive foundation or bed support system that fits the mattress. Reach out to a customer service agent to determine whether or not you may use the foundation you already have.
