Does The DreamCloud Mattress Need A Box Spring?

Published

No, the DreamCloud mattress doesn’t require a box spring, but you may use one.

DreamCloud produces hybrid mattresses with spring coils and memory foam. Therefore, you can place them on a platform base or other firm surfaces that are strong enough to support the mattress weight.

Any type of support system that provides minimal to no flex will work with DreamCloud mattresses.

This includes most platform, slat, and box spring foundations. For slat foundations, check to make sure slats are no more than 3-4″ apart.

If your current bed frame isn’t supportive enough, add a bunkie board to secure the mattress and prevent it from sagging. Alternatively, opt for a low-profile box spring.
