Best For
- Extremely low budgets, under $300
- Minimal sinkage and low levels of bounce
- Classic memory foam feel
Considerations
- Horrible cooling performance
- Extremely slow material response time
- Performs among the bottom 1% of all mattresses tested to date
Our Verdict
The Best Price Mattress is a 10.25″ memory foam mattress made of memory foam, poly foam, and support foam. It has an extremely basic design and targets low-budget sleepers.
The Best Price Mattress is available in a single firmness level — medium-firm.
This mattress has minimal sinkage and low levels of bounce. While there’s nothing inherently “bad” about the sinkage and bounce, it simply feels and performs like a low-quality mattress.
In our performance tests, this mattress earned an overall score of 6.41, ranking the mattress in the 1% of all mattresses tested to date, considering over 360+ mattresses. The low performance can largely be attributed to the poor quality materials, which within the context of the price is exactly what one would expect.
The Best Price Mattress is $240 for a queen-sized mattress, which is 77% less than the average memory foam mattress. Even if you’re on a tight budget, I would recommend opting for a different mattress. It may, indeed, have the “best price”, but it is at the expense of nearly every performance category across the board.

How is Best Price Mattress Different?
The Best Price Mattress is a 10.25″ memory foam mattress with an overall performance level that is significantly worse than average, but also a price tag that is also lower than average.
Advantages
Beyond the ultra-low price, there are no clear advantages to the Best Price mattress. For low-priced alternative mattresses that have better performance, check our Best Cheap Mattress guide here.
Neutral Factors
This mattress has minimal sinkage and low levels of bounce. These are considered neutral since they aren’t too extreme to be polarizing. This type of feel would be very consistent with other memory foam mattresses.

I would also say the average level of motion transfer is a neutral factor since it does not perform below the average (to be a disadvantage).
Disadvantages
Disadvantages to the Best Price mattress include horrible cooling performance, high levels of heat retention, and excruciatingly slow material response time.
The Best Price mattress also had weak edge support (for sitting and lying), poor sex performance score, and disappointing pressure relief. All of these performance categories were well below average.
Cooling Test
The Best Price Mattress has terrible cooling. During our tests, I felt extremely warm on the mattress to the point I would describe the feel as “hot”. The Best Price is among the warmest mattresses I have ever tested.
Baseline Temp.
79.7° F
Max. Temp.
95.0° F
Ending Temp.
85.8° F
In my view, this mattress clearly shows the difference between low and high-quality memory foam. Lower quality memory foam, as we have here, retains more heat and doesn’t breathe as well.
The temperature on the surface of the mattress is well above the average and feels warm around the body.
Max. Temp.

Ending Temp.

- Baseline Temperature – the temperature of the mattress before anyone lies on it
- Maximum Temperature (0 minute) – the temperature of the mattress after lying on it for 15 minutes
- Ending Temperature (5 minute) – the temperature of the mattress after being lied upon and having no one on it for 5 minutes
The all-foam design, in combination with the relatively low quality of the memory foam comfort layer, simply retains more heat, doesn’t breathe well, and isn’t able to bring more airflow into the mattress.
In our objective temperature tests, we measured a max surface level temperature of 95.0° F. This is 5.1° warmer than the average of 89.9° F, based on all of our tests to date.
After getting off the mattress, the temperature declined by 4.6 degrees from minutes 0 to 1, which is 0.2 degrees warmer than the average 0 to 1 minute decline of 4.8 degrees.
Heat Dissipation Over Time

When we consider the combination of objective data, my subjective experiences, and an analysis of the materials, I’m confident in my view that cooling is terrible.
Sinkage Test
The Best Price Mattress has minimal sinkage. During our tests, we measured a pressure point sinkage depth of 1.83″.
Sinkage Depth
1.83″
Sinkage Feel
Minimal
Body Contour
Dramatic
This is 0.38″ less sinkage than the average sinkage depth of 2.21″, based on all of our tests to date. The mattress creates a dramatic body contouring hug.
The level of sinkage is documented in the image below.

Fundamentally, this is a memory foam mattress with a very traditional, very classic type of memory foam feel. It precisely forms and contours to the exact shape of the body, creates lots of hug, and has a slow material responsiveness.
Fortunately, the sinkage depth isn’t as deep, so this helps to avoid any type of overly enveloping feel, which is a benefit. Even so, to be comfortable on his mattress, you’ll need to love the feel of classic memory foam with its dramatic hug and dramatic body contouring.
Notably, the mattress is very hard when you first lie down, but then gradually conforms to the shape of the body and gradually softens.
Motion Transfer Test
The Best Price Mattress has a low level of motion transfer. During our tests, we measured a total acceleration range of 8.90 m/s². This is 1% more motion transfer than the average of 8.79 m/s².
Accel. Range
8.90 m/s²
Motion Duration
0.73 seconds
All foam memory foam mattresses typically have less motion transfer and that’s exactly what we measured on this mattress.
Memory foam does a fantastic job at reducing bounce, absorbing energy, and reducing motion transfer. This mattress has a bounce level that is well below average, which helps keep motion to a minimum.
The level of motion transfer is also documented in the video below.
In our motion transfer chart, which visualizes our accelerometer data, we can see the highest motion peaks from 0 to 0.2 seconds. By 0.73 seconds, we’ve returned to near-zero levels of energy, which is 0.15 seconds shorter than the average motion duration of 0.88 seconds.
Motion Transfer Over Time

While there are certainly mattresses with less motion transfer, overall I’m pleased with this level of motion transfer and don’t expect it will be an issue for most sleepers.
Response Test
The Best Price Mattress has a very slow material response. In our mostly recovered test, we measured a recovery speed of 3.8 seconds, which is 3.36 seconds slower than the average of 0.40 seconds, based on all of our tests to date.
Mostly Recovered
3.8 sec.
Fully Recovered
7.6 sec.
In our fully recovered responsiveness test, we measured a recovery speed of 7.6 seconds, which is 6.61 seconds slower than the average of 0.99 seconds.
The level of responsiveness is documented in the video below.
This mattress has the 3rd slowest material recovery speed we’ve tested to date (360+ mattresses tested). That slow responsiveness speed makes this mattress difficult to move around on, difficult to change positions, and difficult to get out of bed.
It also negatively impacts sex performance. The slow response is the result of the traditional memory foam used within the comfort layer.
Bounce Test
The Best Price Mattress has a low level of bounce. During our tests, we measured a total bounce height of 6.16″. This is 2.78″ less bounce than the average of 8.94″, based on all of our tests to date.
Max. Depth
4.12″
Max. Rebound
2.04″
Total Bounce
6.16″
The lower bounce on this mattress is the result of the all-foam design and traditional memory foam comfort layers. Memory foam in particular absorbs and reduces a ton of energy, which is great when it comes to lowering motion transfer.
Max. Sinkage Depth

Max. Bounce Height

The level of bounce is also documented in the video below.
However, that energy absorption means that bounce is also reduced. That lower bounce makes it more difficult to move around on the mattress and also negatively impacts sex performance.
Edge Support Test
The Best Price Mattress has good sitting edge support and fair lying edge support.
Max. Sinkage
4.50″
Lying Support
Fair
Reinforced Edge
No
In our sitting edge support test, we measured a sitting sinkage compression of 4.50″. This is 0.54″ more sitting sinkage than the average of 3.96″, based on all of our tests to date.
The level of edge support while seated is documented in the images below.
Sitting, 140 lbs.

Sitting, 200 lbs.

While lying directly on the edge of the mattress, I felt that the support was fair in all sleeping positions. This mattress is all foam and does not have any type of reinforced support foam along the edges.
The level of edge support while lying is documented in the images below.
Lying on Edge, 140 lbs.

Lying on Edge, 200 lbs.

The memory foam top layers create a high degree of body contour and hug, which is fine while you’re in the middle of the mattress. However, while lying along the edge, it creates a weakening of edge support, which is why the lying edge support just doesn’t feel as supportive.
Sex Test
The Best Price Mattress has mediocre sex performance. On the positive side, noise is minimal due to the all-foam construction. In addition, we have edge support with a middling performance due to 4.50” of sitting edge sinkage.

Unfortunately, that’s where the benefits end. Pressure relief is mediocre primarily due to the foam quality.
In addition, cooling is incredibly disappointing, also due to the foam quality, all foam design, and this specific type of memory foam formulation.
| Sex Factor | Factor Weight | Score | Rating |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bounce | 65% | 6.3 | Low |
| Edge Support | 20% | 8.1 | Good |
| Noise | 5% | 10 | Minimal |
| Pressure Relief | 5% | 6.0 | Mediocre |
| Cooling | 5% | 4.0 | Terrible |
Lastly, we have bounce, which we measured below average at just 6.16”. More bounce is almost always better for sex and the Best Price mattress simply does not have enough bounce to facilitate ideal sex performance.
All things considered, this mattress leaves much to be desired when it comes to amorous activities.
Pressure Relief Test
The Best Price Mattress has a mediocre level of pressure relief. During our tests, I felt notable pressure points on my body and found the mattress to be uncomfortable.
Comfort Layer
4.75″
Support Layer
5.5″
The mattress is equipped with 4.75″ of comfort material, which is 0.48″ more comfort material than the average comfort layer thickness of 4.27″, based on all of our tests to date.
While it’s great to see a thicker-than-average comfort layer, the foam quality is not good.

Based on our tests, my subjective assessment, comparison to other foams, and the mattress weight, I found these foam layers to be incredibly low quality. The feel, both on the body and in hand, is mediocre at best.
In our pressure mapping tests, we measured a max PSI of 1.22, which is notably higher than the 1.0 PSI or less I ideally want to see.
Pressure Map – Side Sleepers

| Pressure Relief (PSI) | Average | Maximum |
|---|---|---|
| Side Sleepers | 0.11 | 0.68 |
Pressure Map – Back Sleepers

| Pressure Relief (PSI) | Average | Maximum |
|---|---|---|
| Back Sleepers | 0.08 | 0.68 |
Pressure Map – Stomach Sleepers

| Pressure Relief (PSI) | Average | Maximum |
|---|---|---|
| Stomach Sleepers | 0.09 | 1.22 |
Ultimately, the pressure relief performance is a product of the material quality, which is a product of this price point.
In my view, this price point just isn’t high enough to build a mattress to the required standards necessary for excellent pressure relief.
When I consider our objective pressure mapping tests, material thickness, material quality, and my subjective experience on the mattress, I’m confident most sleepers will find the pressure relief to be mediocre.
Off-Gassing Test
The Best Price Mattress had a strong smell upon the initial unboxing. The mattress smelled for 11 days. This is 4.1 days longer than the average smell duration of 6.9 days.

Off-Gassing Period

Company
Best Price Mattress mattresses come with a 100-night trial period and a 10-year warranty. Shipping and returns are both free.
| Company Factor | Factor Weight | Score | Data |
|---|---|---|---|
| Returns | 40% | 10 | $0 |
| Trial Period | 30% | 8.0 | 100 nights |
| Warranty | 20% | 8.0 | 10 years |
| Shipping | 10% | 10 | $0 |
| Country of Origin | 0% | Indonesia |
Comparing 101+ brands tested to date, the average trial period is 172 nights, 72 nights more than Best Price Mattress offers.

The Best Price mattress comes with a 10-year warranty, whereas the average warranty is 14 years. Furthermore, that excludes the 42% of mattresses that offer lifetime warranties.
How firm is Best Price Mattress?
The Best Price mattress is available in a single firmness—6 out of 10, which gives the mattress a medium-firm feel.

Despite the fact that the mattress is available in only one firmness, I will mention here that it comes in a wide variety of different thicknesses—5”, 6”, 8”, 10”, 12”, and 14”. For reference, we tested the 10” version.
Support & Sleeping Positions
Support on the Best Price Mattress is mediocre. During our tests, I felt that support was decent at best. The mattress is equipped with a 5.5″ support layer.
| Support Factor | Data |
|---|---|
| Comfort Layer | 4.75″ |
| Support Layer | 5.5″ |
| Firmness | Medium-Firm |
| Body Contour | Dramatic |
| Zoned Support | No |
| Reinforced Edge | No |
This is 2.39″ thinner than the average support layer thickness of 7.89″, based on all of our tests to date.

In my view, the lack of pressure relief is also creating issues for support. This mattress creates pressure points, doesn’t evenly distribute my body weight, and creates a body contouring hug that makes it hard to change positions once it’s set.
This combination of factors results in a support dynamic that leaves much to be desired. Ultimately, this is a mattress where to feel well supported you’ll absolutely need to love the feel of traditional memory foam. That traditional memory foam creates a high degree of body contour and hug.
It conforms to the precise shape of the body and because it has a slower material response, it makes it more difficult to move around and change positions during the night. Some love this feeling, while some hate it.
Check out the table below to see the sleeper weights and sleeping positions that would be best suited for this mattress.
| Sleeper Weight | Stomach Sleeper | Side Sleeper | Back Sleeper |
|---|---|---|---|
| Under 150 lbs. | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| 150-250 lbs. | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| 250-300 lbs. | No | No | No |
You’ll need to carefully consider your preferences to make sure that you enjoy the traditional memory foam feel.
Lastly, given the construction, thickness, and material quality, I would not recommend this mattress for heavier weighted sleepers.
Based on all of my tests to date, an analysis of the materials, and my subjective experiences, I’m confident most sleepers will find support on the Best Price Mattress is mediocre.

The Cover
The Best Price Mattress has a thin cover. It is 100% polyester and lacks any special cooling technology or carrying handles.

Additionally, the sides use the same fabric that is on the top of the mattress. Most higher-end mattresses use a thicker fabric that reinforces the sides of the mattress, providing more structure and durability.
The Comfort Layer
The comfort layer is 4.75″ thick, including the top cover and two layers of foam. Directly beneath the cover, there is a 2.0″ memory foam (green foam) layer followed by a 2.5″ transitional poly foam (yellow foam).

These foams work together to provide comfort and pressure relief on this mattress. Despite the fact that this layer is thicker than average, I still found the performance of these layers to be insufficient.
The Support Layer
The support layer is 5.5″ thick and made of a 5.5″ layer support foam (yellow). This layer is thinner than is ideal, but by the looks of the overall design, the transitional layer in the core serves the dual role of comfort layer and support layer.

Product Evolution
Best Price Mattress has been around since 2009, as a California-based mattress retailer. Their mattresses are available directly from their website, but the brand is even more well-known for their Amazon store, where mattresses have been selling since 2018.
While clear documentation of changes for this exact model are lacking, the potential changes feel minimal. There doesn’t seem to be any major design updates between the older version of this mattress and the present-day version.
