Which Sealy Mattress Do Hotels Use?

Derek Hales

Updated

Sealy mattresses are used in many hotels and hotel chains in the USA, but these are often different models from the ones found at retail stores or Sealy.com. Sealy has a dedicated hospitality line of mattresses that are made to the custom specifications of these hotel chains.

Sealy Hospitality Collection

If you liked a mattress you slept on at one of these hotels, there are a few ways to buy it:

  • Hotel chains like the Fairmont have a dedicated online store to give regular consumers the chance to buy their specific model.
  • IHG Resorts (Holiday Inn, Crowne Plaza, InterContinental) have their SleepSoundly collection that can be found through third-party vendors
  • Ask the front desk for the specific model and if they are available for purchase. This is a frequent enough question that most hotels will have an answer.

There are good reasons why you may prefer one of these hospitality models over a Sealy mattress found on their website or in a brick-and-mortar store.

The biggest differences include:

  • Better edge support for sitting and amorous activities
  • More robust, water-resistant covers to hold up to high use and turnover
  • Flippable, 2-sided designs to accommodate more firmness options
  • More expensive to account for commercial-grade durability
