How Long is the Beautyrest Mattress Warranty?

Derek Hales

Published

For mattresses purchased after March 2025, Beautyrest mattresses come with a 10-year warranty if purchased from Beautyrest directly. However, before March 2025, Beautyrest mattress warranties varied largely in both length and terms.

If purchased before March 2025, you can check the terms of your model’s warranty here.

If your mattress was purchased through a third-party retailer, it is most likely subject to their warranty. If that retailer has closed, Beautyrest will attempt to handle your warranty claim.

What does the mattress warranty cover?

For mattresses dated after March 2025, Beautyrest offers a non-prorated warranty that covers sagging of 1.5 inches deep for pillowtop models and 0.75″ deep for all-foam models.

Additionally, it covers structural failures, such as broken coils or cracked foam. Finally, they cover physical flaws due to the manufacturing process, like stitching unraveling, faulty handles, or defects in the fabric cover.

Models purchased from Costco do not require proof of defects and can be returned to them under their broad satisfaction guarantee with a technically limitless warranty period.

What does the mattress warranty exclude?

Beautyrest warranty specifies the following exclusions:

  • Consumer firmness/comfort preference.
  • Normal changes in softness or recovery time of high-density foams, including memory foam, due to normal use, temperature, or humidity.
  • Normal body impression(s) as indicated by your warranty code (see chart).
  • Consumer bed height/weight preference.
  • Cover (fabric) and handles.
  • Corner guards.
  • Bent border/grid wires.
  • Burns, cuts or tears.
  • Vermin infestations.
  • Mattresses or foundations displaying stains or soil that reasonably indicate the presence of potentially dangerous bodily fluids, blood-borne pathogens, or other substances that could cause injury.
  • Mattresses used with an inadequate foundation and/or support system.
  • Adjustable foundations (see owner’s manual for details on warranty coverage).
  • Merchandise sold “as-is”, “distressed” or “floor model/sample”.
  • Claims made outside the 50 United States, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico or U.S. Virgin Islands.
