Does the GhostBed Mattress Contain Fiberglass?

Derek Hales

Updated

Ghostbed mattresses do not use fiberglass. According to a representative from Ghostbed:

“We do not utilize fiberglass in any GhostBed mattresses or any other product”

The company uses CertiPUR-US-certified foam, meaning that its mattresses are also free of lead, mercury, phthalates, and other chemicals or heavy metals.

Mattress manufacturers are legally required to use a fire retardant barrier. Fiberglass is used by some manufactures as it is an expensive way to meet the fire barrier requirements. However, there are health risks to using fiberglass.
