No, currently, Ashley Sleep does not use fiberglass in the construction of its mattresses. We confirmed this via a live chat session in 2025. However, we were also able to confirm that some of their mattresses contained fiberglass back in 2023. Both of the older Ashley Sleep Gruve mattresses (M42731 & M71431) contained fiberglass.
Fiberglass is a durable, cost-effective fire barrier, which makes it popular in the furniture industry. Additionally, mattress manufacturers are legally required to ensure their mattress meets Federal fire regulations.
While there are safer options available, fiberglass doesn’t normally pose health risks unless it leaks outside of the mattress cover.
