Yes, Ashley Sleep uses fiberglass in some of its mattresses. To date, we’ve tested 3 different Ashley mattress models, the Gruve, Gruve Hybrid, and Ultra. All 3 of these contain fiberglass.
Fiberglass is a durable, cost-effective fire barrier, which makes it popular in the furniture industry. Additionally, mattress manufacturers are legally required to ensure their mattress meets Federal fire regulations.
While there are safer options available, fiberglass doesn’t normally pose health risks unless it leaks outside of the mattress cover.
