It will depend on how sensitive you are to heat retention, but most Beautyrest mattresses have worse cooling performance than average. Among over 400+ mattresses tested to date, the average cooling score is 8.6. Seven of the eight Beautyrest mattresses we tested scored 8.0 out of 10 for cooling.
The only model to earn an above-average score (9 out of 10) is the Beautyrest Black (the specific model we tested was the Medium Pillowtop from Series 3).

While the Beautyrest Black does have the thickest comfort layer, this layer includes a micro coil unit, hole-filled latex foam, and diamond-infused memory foam designed to transfer heat away from the sleeper.
These features significantly improved its cooling performance during our testing experience.

Below, you can watch a video of how the heat dissipates on each Beautyrest mattress during our cooling test. For this test, we lie on the mattress for 15 minutes, get off the mattress, and then take periodic surface-level temperature measurements.
