Do Ashley Sleep Mattresses Need A Box Spring?

Derek Hales

Published

Some Ashley Sleep mattresses require a box spring or foundation, while others can be used with a slatted bed frame or platform bed.

The company’s warranty policy states that queen and king mattresses should be placed on a supportive bed frame with at least five legs and three cross slats.

This includes most platform, slat, and box spring foundations. For slat foundations, check to make sure the slats are no more than 3-4″ apart.

Type Boxspring

For example, the Ashley Sleep Gruve memory foam mattress can be used with a box spring, an adjustable bed base, or any support system that meets the above criteria.
